Connect to Hyperlobby like you always do.
Then go to Playerslist on the right-side.
click on the blue dot.
Go to disconnect.
Yes.
(Stay in the Hyperlobby frame )
Type new username.
Click connect.
(If somebody else already uses the name you can not connect, try another name then).
Worked for me!!

Everyone is telling me that I should change the username as you've suggested but still no joy. If I try a new username (any username) the message box shouts back "wrong username or password used, disconnected"
Anyway, I've got the answer now. I've bought a massive hammer.........

Did you first log in with the old username and password?
Because you have to.
It takes about 1 minute to get the whole thing done...

Well Darwin, I've finally found out why I can't change my username. And it might seem pretty simple to you. The username I want is already taken!! It's so obscure, I can't believe it. So there you have it. I'm stuck with the present version. Hey ho but thanks for your help buddy.
