I have the same problem that just started. I get the error message "runtime error 7 out of memory" when trying to log onto HL. I have tried everything in the FAQ's but nothing works so far. What files do I need to check? I have even reloaded Windows, HL, VB-5.
please help...

To fix runtime error 7 'out of memory':
Start/Run/services.msc/DCOM Server Process Launcher/properties/auto/start/apply/ok

Thanks for the info ChicagoChad but I now have it fixed. You must be running XP. I have ME
I had to go through DOS and replace some files in the System folder with the originals. They were corrupted so it seems, or at least one of them.
Specifically the:
OLEAUT32.DLL
OLEPRO32.DLL
All is well I am once again in the cyberskies.....Yahooooooooooo!!! |
