Hi all,
2 dodgy flights under my belt and its all great fun. My issue is; I got kicked off a server after 3 warnings about a high "ping" rate. I also got warned on another server about switching something technical sounding around, was it my ISDN? The last thing I want to do is inconvenience anyone so I bailed in technophobic panic when I got that warning. "Ping" sounds like submarine warfare to me but I vaguely understand the idea of "lag" (not Lagg) as I've seen that in action playing Halo- Maybe it was me??? If some kind soul can help me out I'll get it sorted and avoid "spoiling it for everyone else" next time I play. I have wireless broadband and when it says the connection is "very good" it runs at 24-36mbps. I don't know if that helps though. Thanks for your patience and help in advance. FB, Great game.

The high ping warning is automatic and is host configurable to kick players after 3 warnings. Some set it low so nothing but a great connection is required to play on their servers. Its not your fault and one should not take it personal. I doubt your connection is bad. Your 24-36mbps connection is your local area network only (LAN) and this is not your true connection speed to the internet. Search bandwidth test on the net and find a test server close to your location. This will give you a better idea of your speed.
You are best off joining a server at HL with green bars. Read here: http://hyperfighter.sk/content-1.html#12
