Rgr, I will have the same problems I guess.. Ordered a new computer with Vista and from what I hear HL doesnt find game path in Vista..? I have a good friend who´s a beta tester on Vista and he says:
-"It came up with some errors in Install but seemed to install completly. Now HL refuses to find the Game. I have set up the Game path correct but still it says "Game not found"
Thnx for testing and your great support Pesky-Pilot
Im pretty sure it will be fixed but when ?

Just guessing here as I do not have Vista.
Can you right click on the hlpro.exe in the install directory, select properties, then compatability and click the compatibility checkbox then choose windows XP?
This was a feature of XP when 98 programs would not run.
Just guessing here, let us know? |

I got different problems. No it works. I describe what I have done.
1. Start the installation as administrator (right click and start as admin)
2. Start hyperlobby the first time as administrator too.
3. After that you can use it normal - as before.
You will get some error messages after start but for me it works (I start Lock On FC 1.12)
(I use Vista installed as an upgrade over XP.)
Good luck |

I you are having troubles installing HL on Vista try the following.
1. BOOT into SAFE mode.
2. Set HL installation exe to XP SP2 compatibility
3. Run... it should install ok..
4. Reboot into normal account.
5. Set HL shortcut to run as admin...this will stop the annoying error messages that seem to do nothing.
6. have fun... I hope this helped. |

In my windows vista ultimate, all the above recommendations do not work. I have follow everything even boot in safe mode and any time i try to install HL in vista it comes to the following error message : "The file name : Is not valid!"
Any ideas? So far in vista i have find none of the programs or games i used to use not to work - except hyperlobby. Help me to find a solution people... |

Dont know if this will help ,but most problems i've had can be solved by right clicking and choosing run as administrator |

I have Vista Ultimate... And doing what I posted above worked for me...
So you did boot into safe mode ?
While in safe mode Right click the Hyperlobby install exe.... and select Properties....go to the compatibility tab and tick run as administrator and run in compatibility mode XP service pack 2...
Now try and install....
if it does not work have you got the lastest Hyperlobby ? |
