The exe issue, its not going away.

Does anyone know why HL say it doesnt find the il2fb.exe. Even if it finds it with autosearch, or if put in manually. HL will not recognise it nor will it stick after double click and save, same error every time. Does anyone know of other 1946 lobbys? Can HL create a 1946 specific lobby? This is frustrating, it should work.... Can Sturmovik Stab interfere? there has to be something simple going on, what am I missing?

Seems to becoming a common problem involving the wonderful vista operating system.

The command line should look similar to this.

C:\Program Files \Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe

Or, if you have a 64 bit OS such as Vista64 or XP64

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe

Note there are no "" on the beginning or end of the line.

If you are running Vista, you need administrators rights.

Hey Doodlebug, thank ya very much, I followed your Admin steps and wollah, I'm in the lobby and flying MP. everyone on the HL general chat was super helpful and I appreciate the community support. No doubt I need to work on my flying skills, I was getting shot down like crazy, I did get my first MP kill though! Fun stuff, I'm looking forward to more!
