First time with HL and it was very painless getting on line. My problem is I do not know how to use chat, someone asked me something and I could nor respond while in game. I thought it would be the Tilda key but that didn't work. I play on IL2. I searched the forums and could not find such a basic thing as how to use chat once in the game................

did u hit the ` key in the upperleft-hand corner and u can also bring up the map and click on the chat box or click on the chat box while in the refly menu. to get out of the chat menu hit esc.
