When I join a game I can fly the first round without any problem. When I return to the game after being shot down or landing my screen freeze's and my system crashes, a blue screen pops up and the computer reboots. Then I get an error message from Microsoft. I have an HP Notebook with XP Professional operating system. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

If you provide a few more details about your system it might help.
Typical issues are:
#1, heat.
#2, insufficent RAM.
#3, viruses or worms.
Being a notebook it could be the on board video.
Select the safe default vifeo settings in the IL-2 setup (in the IL-2 1646 system folder)
as it is the safest settings for this game.
