I tested it now and it working the same way as in 3.9.111. So i cannot reproduce this problem. Maybe try better explain this issue.

When I want to send a Page to some one one my friends List the cuser dosent go to the Pager box it goes to the Chat room box.

So If I were to type a privite messege to some one in my friends list that I only want my friend to see and If Im not carefull and I hit Enter The messege is seen in the chat room by all instead of the messege going to My friend as a PM.
This only happens when I click on send a messge to a friend

Sad Part I cant recreate it eather

Ill pay closer attention

I also have been unable to duplicate the problem.

The closest I can come is to double left click on a name in the chat window.The pager window opens up but there is no cursor present.(nor in the chat bar).I have to left click once in the pager window to get cursor and start typing.

I did as you said Jiri and still can not get sound from HL. I even reverted to old version and still do not have sound on HL. I have no idea what could be causing this.....very strange.

All other sounds work fine on my computer.

Try open volume mixer and adjust sound volume for HL application. I have no other ideas howto solve it.

When I click on a player from the List Not from my friends list The curser goes to the chat room not the pager

Jiri,

I found the problem and it could lead to others having same problem.

My speaker properties under the advanced tab, were set to 24bit, 192000HZ (Studio quality). When I changed it back to default(24bit, 48000HZ) it works fine with HL.

Is there anyway you can change the code to except higher quality sound? I would really hate to leave my system at 48000hz when it sounds so good at 192000hz.

jiri, 4.0.5 is working fine on XP. I love that sound mod, thank you very much for adding it. That was totally unexpected.

HL only giving order to windows:

play this sound file

I cant do anything with it if it do not work. It is at windows side. Maybe sound driver problem ? To get best quality from 192khz/24bit sound format you need source of the same quality. Most known sources i know are 44khz/16bit so you not getter betetter sound with higher sampling.

I will already check api HL using to play sounds if its not deprecated in Vista/W7.
