Later on I read that the new version supported 64bits so I subscribed here and downloaded it. It all seemed to work properly, but at the end two boxes popped up saying, "error, quitting"...After the installer closed another box opened saying "Run-time error 429; you do not have an appropriate license to use this functionnality".
Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Have you tried turning UAC off and running both the install and HL as admin? |
Hello, thanks for your reply. I'm such a noob though: what's UAC and how do I run the install as an admin? |

Sorry, i forgot: before copy, you have to close the HL. If HL run while you modify the files, the modifications restores when you restarted it (if i mistake not). |

Work in progress report:
There was a lot of issues over years regarding mswinsck.ocx library developed by microsoft. Its main cause why it wont work at W7 64bit and even more
I just completly rewriting HL network api to skip this crap and i will use direct socket api calls. Next version will not depend from mswinsck.ocx |

Hi
Installed ok on Win 7 64bit
In case anyone missed this :
The problems with resizing the Hyperlobby are due to the files being installed in the roaming folder under users.
The same goes for .fls and configuration etc etc, they are not in the default location as the old HL used to be.
C:\Users\Alpha\AppData\Roaming\HyperLobby
Here you find the files needed for tweaking the HL gui and .conf .fls
@ Jiri
Thanks for fixing the "?" in links being broken seems ok now.
I preferred the Silver2 skin looks better IMHO of you don't have it I have a link
Otherwise all is working good so far will give it a good test tonight.

Jiri, please put Strike Fighters Project 1 support back in. There are still folks playing that sim. As much as I hate to say it, you might consider removing Janes USAF support since that sim doesn't work on Win XP so nobody is playing it anymore. It would be nice to see support for Wings Over Europe and Wings Over Israel, but we've found a way to play those in HL without your "formal' support. __ Niles/ACG |

Even though I was logged in as admin I was getting "unexpected error, quitting"messages at the end of the install. If I tried to run the HyperLobby exe I got "runtime error 53.File not found".
I disabled the UAC,as suggested and it installed with no errors.I have it running now and so far I have not encounter any problems.
Thanks for the tip,KG26_Alpha |

Hey Jiri.
Just one thing I noticed (still with the special characters in the links:
As you can see the link is cut short at the ? when you are trying to send someone a link, but it actually shows in the box you type properly.
Any chance this can be sorted? Thanks |

Is it possible for HL to recognize non asci type? Can you add a translation feature so we can translate what someone is saying into a language we can understand, and to type what we say into their native language? We get better connects using hamachi, can HL be improved some along those lines? |

This has been fixed.
If you put a link in the chat window with a "?" in it its click-able now and the link works unbroken so long as you click the part of the link before the "?" character. |

Good to hear, if the game is based on the same engine its posible. I have not removed support for any games, its only hidden from the game list menu. Ill return it by tefault in next beta. |
