error socket 10053

HI

I am using Win XP
a 2.66 maxdata pc
512 mbram
nvidia 4800 ne grafixcard
onboard soundcard

I have/had never problems with HL, but now I have... Embarassed

everytime I enter a game, after a few minutes my friends cannot find me in the friendslist or the list in the game I play. They see me only when they enter the game???

when I finish that game I get this report reentering the lobby:
error socket: 10053 is aborted due to timeout or other failure...

I use the xp standard firewall, but deactivate it while online playing. my virusprogramm AVK (german version) but is still running.

any idea? ....

I play il-2 FB. I also have a problems since I use XP: My virtual memory seems not to be enough after a half hour ( sometimes only ,I get this message).

I have made all my security updates on win xp and on my virusprogramme.....
