Invisible while playing IL2 ???

Hi guys,

I have a really annoying problem playing IL2 since I changed my callsign.

Now it seems, that I am an "invisible" player.
- no enemy planes take notice of me orone attacks me when I'm in battle.
- I can hurt but not ground enemy planes
e.g. I firet all my bullets of my BF190's MK108 Wingguns on a Zero;
I could see how I hit him several times and his engine started smoking.
Although I coulldn't bring him down (no need to say a MK108 is an
absolutely fatal weapon).
- my "enemy" didn't try to escape while I was hitting hin again and
again, just like he didn't notice that he was under fire.
- if I ram my enemy, only my plane explodes. The other one
keeps on flying without any harm.

This happend more than one time on several servers during the last four days and makes playing IL2 real boring.
Does anybody know what happend to my game or ma HL tool? I'm using the latest version of HL (4.2.7).

The strange thing is, that four days ago everything worked correctly. Then suddenly, after I changed my callsign this problems appeared. Sad

What do you suggest me to do?
Uninstall and then a new installation of the game?
At the moment I'm using IL2 4.09m with UP 2.0

Try it , first without UP and then with it.

Hi

This problem occurs when the Clients IL2 1946 version is different from the Host/Server version.

Switch your IL2 to stock v409m and join a stock server all should be ok.

If you are using UP v2.0 this is an outdated Mod pack and you need to upgrade to v2.01

You will have to read the servers settings to join UP v2.01 successfully.

can you give me instrucktions (or a link to it) how to handle this "stock-server" thing?

thank you for the tip with versin 2.01 - i'll install it immediately Smile

hope the eliminate the "error" that way.
