Hi all, new to the forums. Does anyone play Pacific Fighters on HL anymore? I just got into the game about a week ago when I got a new computer (couldn't play it on my old computer, too slow) and I really like it, and I'd love to play it online.

Most everyone has moved on to IL2:Sturmovik 1946.It is a dvd updated to version 4.7.You will need to patch 4.08 and 4.09 to play online.
It can be found for about $10.00 USD.(might be the downloadable version)

Yeah I've noticed, 260 people playing IL2 1946, 0 people playing the other games lol.
You can get it that cheap? I thought it was like $30. In that case I'll look into getting the game
The thing I found with Pacific Fighters is after playing a lot for a week, it got kind of old. I think its the limited number of planes you can fly.
But doesn't IL2 1946 have a Pacific Theater or is that the merged version?

The 1946 dvd has all the games rolled into one.It includes all the patches and addons since Forgotten Battles. It is one game with everything.
When Pacific fighters came out it came in two versions.Actually it was one game but able to be installed in two different manners. As a standalone or merged with Forgotten Battles.

Oh sweet. It doesn't require any older versions right?
Well I found a copy of 1946 on ebay buy it now, total with shipping would be $13. But I'm looking at Microsoft SideWider Pro 2 joystick current bid is at $1, and $6 for shipping. Only 1 bid and its ending Thursday night. I had a MS Force Feedback joystick that I broke a couple years ago, and I've been using this Saitek stick that doesn't twist for rudder, and I don't like that.
So if I win that MS SideWider stick I'm getting IL2 1946.
Thanks for letting me know IL2 '46 is only like $10! lol
