Hi, i have been playing il2fb 1946 version 409.m on "funfor all 4.09 m" until recently when i recieved an error message, " il2fb.exe needs to close we are sorry for the inconvenience" when i try to join the game, i am running windows xp/ windows version 5.1/ service pack three. " this report includes the condition of il2.exe when the problem occured". The problem persists on all games servers i was able to join.
i am not able to post the Dr watson report due to copyright issues i presume, but i would be grateful for any assistance i can get to resolve the issue or even point me in a positive direction with what little info i have at my disposal as my heads thumping trawling the net to no avail. cheers. PS the game is a pc download version, no DVD.

Were you able to join after a reboot? Sometimes when the game crashes and you're brought back to Lobby, the game "ghosts" in the process list (il2fb.exe) and eats up lots of memory.
That used to happen to me every now and then on win XP, but only when I exited game myself.

problem sorted, reinstalled windows xp and game, thanks for your help.
