When I connect to the Hyperlobby I noticed it stops responding after about 30 sec to 1 minute of idle time. Chat stops, I cannot connect to any games (FB). The only thing I can do is disconnected and reconnect frequently.
I've uninstalled HL and re-installed but that did not cure it? Any suggestions?

Hi Thud,
Not that but I get "Runtime error 0" or "Runtime error 6" every time I use hyperlobby IL2FB .
I think it must be the number of people in that game, works for a time but then does not let me in at all.
Never happend before, what is different about this program,,,,

Rgrt, frequent restarts of HL required, as well as unexplained crashes even with few people - F/A-18 on XP Pro - seems to do with new prog. |

Every one had Win XP Home or Pro?
I will write some of the things I found out in XP.
Hyperlobby does not work with Proxy.
Hyperlobby some times does not to work with FB CD in.
Hyperlobby does not accept none Roman text eg, Japanese, Korean not sure about others.
Hyperlobby some times works better with XP fire wall set
Hyperlobby Works better on first start and does not let me join after game closing, then automatic relog in.
To get into each room in Hyperlobby you much connect to a server. If the server has a problem, time out it boots you from the program.
After getting booted from Hyperlobby it is best to wait for about 5 minutes before rejoining.
If you are reading Jiri, I am writing this because I like your program but want it to be perfect so I and maybe others will have no problems .
There are 1000s of people using this program but why just me and afew others with problems I wonder,, |

And will not accept. Unicode will double network trafics of the HL server.
All other things indicating missconfigured or damaged windows instalation ... |

Sorry I am not asking you to add proxy support, but writing some things that I have found out using your program.

Some times iff I put the 'IL2 forgotten battles CD' into the drive before running the program it will give an error.

I am using the Japanese support, but it still does not work if I use Roman text eather. I do not think it is a damaged windows installation because no other program has any trouble.
"Yahoo messenger, MSN Messenger, UBI soft network lobby".
If you say about Unicode I will try find a way to turn that off . Maybe other people can check that too.
Thanks,,

Hello Hyper,
Last night I switched my computer program settings from Japanese to English. Hyper-lobby never timed out .
If I have no problems from now I think that was my problem.
Maybe you could add that some where on this site to help any one else. |

I know about that ... Problem is in string to numbers conversion (IMHO). When someone have experince with VB programing for both Japan and other reginal settings should help me to solve that issue ....
I using in HL tose converts:
1./ asc function
ex: svr_block = svr_block & cn(Asc(Mid(Nick, a, 1)))
2./ val function
ex: LOBBY = Val(GetSetting("HyperLOBBY", "login", "type", "0"))
3./ chr function (with "&hff" notation)
ex: Print #ff, Chr("&h" & Mid(svr_block, a, 2));
PS: I have no time to search for those issues |

I learned a really small! amount about programing at college so I do not know too much about programing .
Maybe some one else here could help.
I don't think there needs to be Japanese or any other none Roman support. But if Hyper-lobby did not time out just having it installed on some ones computer it would be a grate improvement I think . |

I'm willing to bet mine could be a corrupted file somewheres especially since I tried out a few different pop-up stopper programs earlier. I've tried several uninstalls/reinstalls but I obviously haven't deleted all the files since each fresh install automatically recognizes my ID number.
Thanks |

Jiri, I've uninstalled HL and deleted the directory several times. In each case, It always recognizes my login and password after a fresh install. So, obviously I'm missing a file or directory when deleting. Do you know where I might find this directory?
Also, I started having this problem a long time after loading this version of HL so I don't think there's anything in HL itself that could be causing this. |
