Cant Start a game

Hi there. i haven't used Hyper lobby in a while, but now a friend of mine got IL1946 on steam so i tried to fire it up again.
1.
I ran into the problem that every time i tried to join a game i ran into a "Server not responding, ping timeout" message.
Version check : 4.12.2
HFX 7 + Westfront mod

Alright, maybe that's the problem wanted to reinstall anyway because i have way to much skins
2.
I reinstalled , patched up to 4.12.2 again

Now i have the problem that the game wont even start when i join a game it plays the wromm sound
and says >>>>>>start<<<<<<<
then it throws me right back into the main screen saying :
>>>>Bauta welcome back to the Hyperlobby<<<<<
HyperLobby server connected successfully

My operating System is Win 8.1
i already tried :
1. reinstalling the game + patches (its from GOG btw.)
2. reinstalling Hyper lobby (vers. 4.3.4)
3. restarted the PC (of course)
4. made a exception in the firewall
5. run the game as admin in compatibility
6. tried with Il21946.exe and il2fb.exe

I hope someone can help me because i am not able to figure it out on my own Embarassed

problem solved

i have solved the problem by switching off all my vpn software (tunngle,hamachi)

But now i have THE OLD PROBLEM AGAIN
(i wrote it big so people wont stop reading after problem solved Rolling Eyes

)

"Connection attempt to remote host failed
Reason : Ping Timeout"

I am running the native version on 4.12.2 and i cant join any server, nor can anyone join my game when i am hosting

Hamachi is a known problem for years.

Is the game starting up ok offline, for example you can fly in the Quick Mission Builder and the campaigns are running good ?

Everything runs fine

Also tried shutting down the firewall in its entirety but hasn't changed the problem.
This was the problem why i reinstalled the whole game in the first place.

Copy the whole game folder to your hard drive outside the programs folder ie: C:\ IL21946

Reset Hyperlobby il2fb.exe path

Then run from there see if it works online.

sadly nothing changed Evil or Very Mad

i got the ips of some of the servers from a user yesterday and i tried to login with the ingame option, same result.
When i did a ping on the adress via command shell i reached the servers with 0 loss

Does it matter that i got the game from Gog ? Sometimes they are optimising games for newer machines.
Still my version when i start up shows 4.12.2m

could it be that the difference between 4.12.2m and 4.12.2 is causing problems on the version detection level

m is multiplayer

The designation in patching is critical as non m patches are usually for server installation only.

Where are you located, home college university ?

Meanwhile try joining the Bombs Away server in Hyperlobby it uses v4.12.2m

v4.12.2m is the standard version when you get it from GOG

Its possible the patching process didnt go well and the files got corrupted.

In the stock v4.12.2 it has to be exactly that and no MODS folders etc from HSFX

So long as the GOG installation is ok and the patching correct there should be no problems.

I cannot Join any server in Hyperlobby this morning.I have not flown in a while and when I tried to join Skies of Valor this morning I get a error saying Hyperlobby must close.
