I have a server that has multiple ip address. How do i tell HL which ip the server is using so others can connect thru HL? For instance, my main IP is 111.111.111.111 and the secondary ip is 222.222.222.222. How do i tell HL when i am starting a server to instruct the clients to connect to the 222.222.222.222 ip address?

All the ip address are bound to the same network adaptor.

Try change order of the IP in the interface configuration, BTW HL forcing IL2 to use default IP address. For more informations have look in to the FAQ.

I am trying this with the Dedicated server. So there is not interface to select the ip i wish to use. I tried setting the localHost= line in the conf and confs files for the dedicated server, but HL still tells the client to connect to the wrong ip address. The server is launched correctly as i can directly connect to it with the ip i assigned to it in the config files, but HL still sends the wrong ip address.
Is it possible to alter HL to get the IP information from the config files?

HL tells nothing. The IP used as the server IP is detected by the HL server, so its IP from what is connected HL client. It can only force this IP given by the server in to the conf.ini. The server cannot telll wrong IP because it is detected from live connection betwen HL client and server. Another thing is NAT. But i think u not use it. If yes there is in the FAQ a short guide how to do. Also this was discused here several times.

I have done what is stated in the FAQ. I am working with the dedicated server. Here is what i did. Opened hlpro.ini and changed Autodetect ip to = 0 . Copied a conf.ini from a full install of Aces into the ded server dir. Added the localHost= line into the ini with the ip i want the server to run on. I also edited the confs.ini to the ip i want the server to run on. Then i launched HL and started a server. When trying to connect, it times out. The client is not being told what the ip of the server is. When i go back into the game after typing out, the last server my client tried to connect to shows as :21000. So i am assuming that the HL server is not telling the client what ip to connect to. After shutting down the server, the conf.ini file is changed by HL and the localHost= line is removed from the ini.
Did i miss something? I have not been able to get this to work yet.
