Today I couldn't connect to the Hyperlobby Client (Error socket 11004) as well as this site (Page not found). It appears to be the same error as this one.........
http://hyperfighter.jinak.cz/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=882&highlight=11004
I'm running 2 systems (using a router) and yesterday I had no troubles at all to get connected with both of them, just tonight. I checked my Firewall, it's switched off. I also reinstalled HL 3.6.68 with no succes.
BUT when I create a Virtual Private Network link (VPN) I do can join HL client as well as this website, .
I don't get it anymore, lol
One also talked about the verinfo.txt file. Here's the contents of it:
Win NT: 5.1.A28 - Service Pack 1
hlpro.exe 3.6.0.68
aping.exe 1.0.0.16
dexec.exe 1.0.0.5
mswinsck.ocx 6.0.88.4
msvbvm50.dll 5.2.82.44
asycfilt.dll 3.50.5014.0
comcat.dll 5.0.2600.1
ctl3d.dll No Version Info available!
ctl3dnt.dll No Version Info available!
oleaut32.dll 3.50.5016.0
olepro32.dll 5.0.5014.0
stdole2.tlb 3.50.5014.0
Hope someone can clear up some things for me? Because I used to not create a VPN first to get a connection.
Cheers,
Seamus |

I am thinking DO NOT READ THIS IS SPAM :D with shonky isp`s.
Tonight my connection went out once and when it came back AVS forum was not available. Was it my isp or theirs?
On the weekend my isp went kaput 2 times in 6 hours...
Have you read this? |

No , this issue is still going on. If I back up the the old one it works fine , but the new one does not.
I think it has to do with the NAT and how it forwards the ip thur a router, the new one is not working with mine as it worked in the old program. |

You know this problem is really annoying. Ever since I have installed the newest version, I have been getting this error. Nothing was changed to the router or modem and I have XP and whether I have the FW up or not it doesn't connect. I could connect previously with or without the firewall but now I can't get in at all. Is there anyway I can get the old version, does anyone have it on their PC they could send me because this is ridiculous. |

Settings are on default just like last time. I have WINXPPRO and haven't messed with a single setting. I am thinking of a reformat anyway, would that help? |

Have you asked your ISP why you cant connect? They could and have been the culprit. Have you tried another firewall without the router? Does your Router block traffic in both directions. HL Uses TCP 1698 and is that configured? There are allot of variables. You have to try them. Reformatting is always a last resort for me. Also post up your verinfo.txt and system info for Jiri to take a peek at. |

Let me see what's the deal with that port. Now thinking, we had a black out not too long ago, and that might have been the culprit.

Your verinfo is exactly the same as mine. Ring your ISP as you should not have to forward ports. Well I don't just to connect. only to host.
fingers crossed. |

Yes all I can do is host when I play because of my FW and router setup. I'd like to get in there and at least do that. |

I just installed the previous version and I can get in. Apparently the problem was with the new version. |

At least your online Centurian57.
But it has fixed nothing.
So something Centurian57, Harpoon and DEY_SEAMUS_NL have in common is what?
What brand and Type routers do you have?
Don't run away now... You might be forced to upgrade to newer version one day. |

It is a linksys. Our setup is this.
cable modem -> router -> pcs or hub (in my case a hub because I want multiple ports for other computers or a laptop) -> my pc
It is the same it has been since February and only now can I not use the most updated version of HL. |
