My squadron (II./JG1) runs a dedicated server for an online war (Clash Of Titans). The server is remote, so someone always has to login to it via PCAnywhere to start up our daemon and Hyperlobby, select a DF room, and launch the server.
I've built a Windows Script to start the daemon and HL; autologin gets us this far. What I'd like to be able to do is automatically launch the server in a DF room without any user intervention. The reason for this is that COT runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and I've set up a scheduled Windows Task to run the script mentioned above at the appropriate times. The problem is that once logged into HL, there's no way for the script to (A) determine which rooms are empty, (B) select an empty room to launch from, (C) make the necessary entries in the initial dialog, and (D) click the appropriate button to launch from that selected room.
It seems to me that many, if not all dedicated server operators would find such a capability most useful, and would be fairly easily accomplished, since server settings are actually saved in the server's fbmd.cmd file. All that would be needed would be a commandline switch to tell HL to autolaunch rather than require all the manual clicking.
Any possibility of this?
Many thanks for all the great flying we've all had, thanks to your excellent work!
Best Regards,
D. Doutel (HerrBaron, II./JG1_Baldur)
