Have I been banned?

Hi, to any moderater that might look at this:

Earlier tonight I left my computer to grab some dinner.
When I got back I saw that my HL connection has closed

so I hit the connect button and I notice that right after
it says; "please wait .. connecting..."

it said "connection closed"

in other words, I cannot connect to HL..
I have tried everything I can think of including a fresh HL install
but I still cannot join the lobby.

I don't see any remarks about problems with the lobby and I have
spoken with a few of my squadron buddies on comms, and there seems to be no problem with the lobby as such.

Is it possible that I have been banned? and If so, why?

I never use profanity, I don't do politics, I've never triggered the langauge filter...I hardly ever use the chat at all... and I fly with honour..

so If I was banned then I sure cannot think of a reason...

If someone could look into this I would appreciate it very much.

It happened to me tonite too

The server was very busy at over a 1000 users when I was on.

There is a limit to how many the lobby can support at one time

probably be able to get on again in a few hours or tomorrow.

thanks for the reply Crop-Duster, but at the time there were only 600 ppl in the lobby, as I suspected that too but one of my squad mates confirmed this over comms

If it had been, and I could not have gotten on, then why would that leave me out for so long a time, should I not be able to get on again once there were less players in... I mean, trying to connect when it's full should not put you on a list to be ignored for half a day or so, whilst others can get in, should it?

True but the server was very slow and chuggy all day it seemed here in North America and last week was up and down alot one day. I think it's a server issue.

i've been with Hyperlobby since it started in Nov 2001 and have never been banned so I think it's as server issue.

It's the first time I've ever seen the'Cannot connect' error evr here.

i think the Czech server resets early every moring our time so this may correct our problem.

Ah but I am in Europe, it IS early morning Smile

and with all the trouble going on with HL, and that thing last week, it has NOT affected me at all and it runs fine here

furthermore, one of my mates has tried to log in with my name and PW, and now he cannot come in either, not with mine, and not with his own aswell..

So my theory is, my name and ip are banned, he logged on with my name, and thus got his IP blocked aswell..

just a theory though, as I have no idea how this whole banning stuff works, if it is that at all..
