It again has come to pass that people/moderators cannot understand what is and isnt a joke.

It is also apparent that there are some extremely thin skinned individuals whom take offence or stand poised to strike at someone who says anything out of turn. This is all too apparent by the listings of this forum.

I posted a joke comment that could have been taken the wrong way and immediety posted the word "Joke" afterward. The comment was a somewhat modified version of a Kenny Everrett sketch where a guy drill a hole in the wall so the girls in the next room could watch him undress. Yes it is funny in the right context.
I believe Vucher took it as I was refering to my children of which I have none and live alone. I meant it in the lightest possible way but it was received in the darkest way.
I ask who has the issue if they immediately jump to the worst conclusion and responded that he will pray for me! Pray for me well I never....

What do you expect a likely reaction would be to that kind of a response?

See for yourself.

I always take the jokes out on myself rather than anyone else as it is funnier and i am good at it.

Sad how we have to cater to the lowest common denominator isn't it?

Are we now expected to give right of passage to religious zealots in HL?
Especially when the moderator is this person as I have seen him involved in other log reports prior to members getting banned.

Aren't moderators supposed to be unbiased and impartial?
Isn't religious dialogue just as bad as politics?

Not all of the members of HL are Christians or from the US.
Perhaps a little latitude is needed within reason.

If I offended someone, please allow me the opportunity to apologise prior to banning. If I did offend someone then please post the log highlighting where and I will apologise. But please I aks you to be objective and impartial as this pattern of banning is becoming tailored to suit the individual ideals of the moderator and not that which is in the best intrests of HL in general.

Probably a really good idea for Vulcher to keep his offers of prayer to himself as he will take offence when it is rejected.

Please note, this is not an attack against all moderators.

Thanks you for your time and I look forward to your reply.

I was reading how a member was removed for an inflamitory name.

I hope this isn't the case with me. I have had this nickname since the days of JCN and in HL for about 6+ years.

The name derives from the BBC hit comedy sci-fi show Red Dwarf.

Smeg is also the name of a European white goods company that make refridgerators etc.

If my name offends the please raise your minds out from the gutter people!

If this is not the case then kindly disregard.

i'm sure your name has nothing to do with it i do reccomend you read this post it's a private lobby that has rules about language and other things and need to be followed or you get kicked the HL will never become a toilet like the ZONE
here is a post by hyper that you should read language in the lobby of late has become an isssue and it is about that and ony that as you will see hyper does not like bad language it's that simple you want to talk to your friends using language that can get you kicked then use the pager not the open chat

here ends this message

I see someone is on a personal crusade Johnny.

Perhaps while you have access to all these posts, chat logs etc, you might be able to find where I was using bad language.

There is a fine line between keeping the lobby clean and puritanical totalitarianism.

As I said before show me where I went wrong then I'll apologise. Remember that in some cases it is a matter of perception.

Show a little latitude and there will more respect.

I'd have to agree with Smeg. I could expand more but Smeg has done a pretty good job of explaining it.

Oh, and if someone said they would "pray for me", I would find that very offensive.

Hyperlobby online systems is about gaming, not trash talk. Go to vomit.com to post your jokes. There are children in here, one of them is mine!
