Trying to Host an FB game with new DSL, but everyone times out when they try to join. I have a firewall built into my router (2Wire brand) and I cannot seem to fix this problem. Could someone treat me like a 6 year old and give me a step by step on how to make this work?

Hello MadMack did you get to the bottom of this problem? - I've got the same thing happening but diff router - a Voyager 210 I believe it needs some ports opening on it but I dont know which ones - Anyone any ideas what ports are needed for Forgotten Battles?

Hey NevDuke, No mate, I haven't gotten to the bottom of this yet, but when I do, I'll get back to you. This is getting a bit frustrating...

Looks like I've found four computers that cant host. Yours, mine at home, mine at work and another colleague of mine at work.
The one I'm using at home is on a Safe-Com router and I'm using Sygate firewall - I'm 100% sure I've hosted on this system before about a year ago. I've yet to check Sygates settings here though I'm totally sure I've hosted on this machine before with no problems whatsoever.
The one at work, I'm fairly sure I hosted on although my connection was very slow. That's since been upgraded but I definately can't host even though its on a modem as opposed to a router. I've checked and double checked Sygate is allowing TCP and UDP both directions but still cannot host.
My colleagues computer is the one with the Voyager 210 and it may be that this machine can actually host - but I can't join it! We checked port 21000 is open on that machine, but have had little time to verify whats actually going on. I'll keep you posted on what happens in this department as and when, we sort it out
