Jane's was a fun sim.
Two things killed Jane's.
Cheating.
Head on passes by Spits.
Cheating is easy.
The game became a head on slug fest if no one cheated.
The trick is to cut your resolution to the minimum, 640x480.
Then do nothing but head on passes.
Spits are terribly over modeled.
But it's still the best 3D chess game ever made.
If a turning dogfight starts, it's the best. Just
don't expect overly realistic flight models.
Even in "FM5" it's a tad arcadish.

Great thanks for the info and I will search on Thursday night.
I have not found a more realistic WW2 flight sim.
I use to take down many spits on the old Jane's Lobby and just avoided turning wars with them.

I used to play online back when i was 12/13 - im goin on 18 now. But then i moved and a bunch of stuff happened. I just happened to think of the lobby today and set out on a quest to find it again. When i left there were like 100 people online all the time - they only gather on thursdays now? If i ever clean my computer off enough for the game to run on here ill be back and flying again.
