Hello,
I am using HL for 2 years now. This error appeared with no reason at start up.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall, with no success, the error is still present.
Do you have an idea for what is the issue ?
Thanks a lot,
Laurent |

Hello madbird
I have searched google and found this MS article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q180384
You should run dcomcnfg.exe configuration tool, browse "Component Services>My Computer>DCOM Config"
There is object named aping.clsaping. Click properties for this object, locate "Security" tab where you can configure permission of this object for your computer.
Another way is reinstall windows. In your current configuration is something wrong ... |

Thank you,
I tried to reconfigure DCOM and give authorization to aping with no success.
Finally i discovered i was hit by a trojan that scrambled my system . I had to reinstall and everything works fine now with HL.
I disabled DCOM with no impact to HL (it is not used by HL, so the error was really weird...)
For information, DCOM is really rarely used by applications, but really appreciated by trojan, virus,... i suggest to anybody to disable it.
Here it is, if anybody else encounter this issue, check for virus
Thanks anyway for your support Jiri. I appreciate your tool a lot.
