Hi,
When I start a T.E. Game :
F4:AF Room Error when starting (Hosting) Tactical Engagement. I choose T.E. Start the game and when I try to launch it, after setting paramters, it crashes with a an error:

'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library'

The game window menu stays open and I have to 'hit alt ctrl del' and tab out and kill the game that way to kill the game and go back to the lobby.

I never had this happen with the old Falcon 4 version on HyerLobby. Nor have I in any other game.

What is wrong. Question

I run WinXP.

Thanx, Cool

Ok, It is HyperLobby that will not let me host a TE Mission. I can host all other types of missions on HL. I can run all types off missions offline. The HyperLobby version is Beta, so it has the problem. It seems to let a few people Host T.E.'s but I guess some issue will not let me host T.E. missions on HyperLobby. No big deal. I am sure it will be fixed soon.
Cool

I did get confirmation that there is a problem with Hosting T.E.'s in HyperLobby for F4:AF 1.08. So, this does at least confirm it is not anything wrong with my setup. It is being worked on, by somone... Cool

Furthermore, on the TE's there is actually a problem that might need a fix, we are looking into it. DF and Campaign don't seem to be affected.

So he know about that problem ...

Jiri Some of us have found out that when their Callsign is more than 10 characters you get that library error message. So many of us had to decrease our callsign name to get in and do a TE. Is there a way to expand that to 15 characters?

I dropped my callsign to less and the T.E. did work when I hosted it withouth crashing. How odd. Thanx for the heads-up...
Cool

BTW, why only T.E.'s?
