Stutters with HL opened?

Since the last version of HL, I experience stutters, and sometimes long pauses (10-15s) while playing IL2/FB/AEP/PF.

Everything works fine and suddenly the game starts stuttering like mad, and the pauses become 10-15s long, with half second playing periods in between. Half my RAM is still free and nothing seems to occupy the CPU. Tonight I closed HL and the game instantly exited, as if the two were the one and the same application.

Any ideas?

another funny thing that happened yesterday:

I was in game, stutters (as described just above this post), so I got out and closed HL.... the game closed instantly...

I had to reset my desktop resolution and restart the game

Playing IL2/FB/PF from another game program such as
"All Seeing Eye" while Hyper lobby is open causes
pauses and or "stutters". Wink

No other games seem to be affected.

No stutters happen when the game is launched from HL, so I don't see
it as a real problem since I use HL for launching games and ASE only
rarely.

Solution is, don't run both at the same time or run a second computer.
