Hello
I'm new here. Just bought IL2 1946 and trying to play online. When I try to log-in I get the message that it can't find the exe path for IL2 although it is plainly there on my c drive - any answers??
I've seen various similar questions but no definitive answer here.

Hi Winnie,
You have to direct HL to the "il2fb.exe" in the main IL2 1946 folder.....
Open HyperLobby.... then right-click on the "Connect" button.... in the window that opens click the "Search" button.... when it has finished searching, select the correct path for your install of il2 (it maybe same as mine... c:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe).
Click the "Save" button. And you're done.

OK - so I downloaded 4.08 and reinstalled Hyperlobby and logged on and hey presto - it does work...thanks spray! |

this isn't working for me. it can't find the executable no matter what i do. I installed the 4.08 update before installing hyper lobby. It seems like it is intent on finding the wrong file name. |

I also have this problem.
IL2 is fully patched to 4.8 level and works as a standalone.
I cannot get HL to find the game.
Tried doing as suggested, checked the file path, and it comes up with cannot find....
HL is looking for il2.exe not il2fb.exe I wonder if this is part of the problem. |

you have to choose 'forgotten battles' (that's what the fb in the file name is for) then it will find the executable just fine! |

I have this exact same problem. I am in FB and I search for the file directory, and the file directory does show up. I click it, and then click save, and a window pops up saying,
"HyperLobby can't found game installation!!!
You will not be able access mission slots and run the game!!!"
Then I click "Okay" and that window closes, and HL allows me into the general chat of FB. It will not let me join a game thought. I click a game to join, and click join game...HL then minimizes for a few seconds, then reboots itself.
Any help.... please!! |

Hi !
I have install il 2 1946 on my pc. I open the hyperlobby
and chose the button IL 2 Forgotten Battles and than i log in.
All the server i can see on the left side.
I am ready to play and i chose one of the servers.
I joined a server and than came a window " please wait", for a long time!!!
Suddenly the pc shows a window with " Connection attempt to the remote host faild! Reason: Timeout! "
WHY !!!!!
I hope somebody can help me! please !

Hi,
I have downloaded the patch and install, but the game don´t run!!
And the firewall is off!!
I can play lan, but not on hyperlobby!!
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using a router?
If so you may need to enable a port for IL-2 1946.
Port 2100 I believe.

IL 2 1946 is a very nice game and i would like to play it, but it doesn´t run?!
