Full reinstallation

I have Aspire 3680 with Windows Vista Home Basic. I installed HL client and it worked right.
Now at the start the menu "Unexpected error; quitting" appears. Then I am correcting installation path for the game. After that menu "HL can't found game installation !!! You will not be able access mission slots and run the game" is seen. I don't know when this problem appears. May be after adding RAM to the computer. The full deinstalation and regedit don't help.
I reinstalled HL and the game to a ather folders. It don't going to work too.
Please Help Me!?

You may have to set the game path manually.
Not a big deal.
I abandoned Windows Vista, it's a crap operating system.
But HL worked fine with it.

You mentioned installing new RAM.
It's possible that you have a bad RAM strip there.
Remove the new RAM and try again if the problem(s) persist.

i have some guys trying to download the client version and it wont instal gets a error is it because HL isnt vista compadable?

Click the right mouse button on the HyperLobby icon and choose "Run as administrator" option. It worked for me. Hope this helps.
