I am new to playing on the net--after 65 years, I'd like to have a bit of fun. Have played off the net for a year or so--still learning all the ropes. Would like to know why I get kicked off by server sometimes (is this hyperfighter or other-don't know-would like to know). Computer speed is good-trying to follow rules-would appreciate it if TPTB would let you know if you are screwing up. Thanks BLAKJAK and Hook for you help-I greatly appreciate it!

No we are on Verizon Broadband for gaming-faster than DSL most of the time-only use it when speed is good.

Well, to start with some servers run a tight ping based auto kick.
Some servers also have the "Cheat" warning set to auto kick after one warning.
The cheat warning is for a interruption in communications, sometimes used as a cheat.
Also to add to it, not all servers have a good ping.
for instance, a server in Germany will ping poorly to a person in the US.
In the hypothetical server across the Atlantic has the auto-kick set tight
you can get kicked because the server has connections issues, not you.
Since you are on Verizon, that means you are likely in the North East US.
Try a server near you, look for a low pinging server, under 100ms.
One other factor is a good ping on a poorly configured server will cause
trouble...

If a server is simply a game computer used as a server it will have lag issues
with only 12 players and the auto-kick can happen without warning (no matter how good the connection).
Bottom line, try a few servers.
I do not know your preference for game settings but,
Here are a few good performing servers.
I am only recomending them by performance.
