4.08 patch problem...

I have had IL2 1946 since summer and want to get online, problem is that I down loaded the 4.08 patch as well as the 4.08 server patch also. This was done before, then after I downloaded the hyper lobby server (pro X3 client), but still no dice?

I Just want to get some online kills as I'm tired of killing the AI players. I noticed some peoples advice is to get the "IL2FB" file...I downloaded the 4.08 version, but no where does it say "FB".

Any help appreciated.

are you getting corrupt or modified messages when booting software?
I have had little luck with this sofware i wish there was a more stable and easier method. I have tried reg cleaners and reinstalled numberus times.
ps. the fb file you are looking for should be found in this path C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. Look in that folder for the exe. that part was easy when i got the software to work only once.

Server patch?
I never used the server patch for the game.
No need for it unless you are using the dedicated server software.

Can you be more specific as to your problem?

Not sure what your problem is, but make sure once your 4.08m patch is installed and you open HyperLobby, choose "Forgotten Battles" and you should be good to go.
