Im tring to go ton HL with ForgottenBattles, I have il2 1946. I tried everyhing, copy and pasting from the shorcut, with out qoutes. I searched for it then clicked save still.!! Does it matter if i have ENG SOUND MOD?
PLzz i need help. |

Some servers block the engine sound mod.
If you are running Vista you might have to copy the IL-2
folder out of the Program files folder.
This has worked for some.

I have vista 32, and its D:\Il2 Sturmovik 1946\il2fb.exe
and i tried again but with the original Il2 FB exe, but still it didnt work..And if the ENG SOUND MOD doesnt work..how are so many people geeting in with it on the AAA server? |

Does the non modded IL-2 1846 installation work?
Did it work before you modded it?
I have Vista problems until I shut off all the garbage running in background.

I am having the EXACT same problem but with Lock On Flaming Cliffs 1.12b.

it didnt work with non modded...
it worked before when i had XP, and it worked before reformatted my PC with Vista. |

I ocassionally use Vista64.
I had problems with it.
Here is a HyperLobby post with a fix
for widescreen issues and a procedure
to establish administrator rights
along with a procedure to strip Vista into a
user friendly (game friendly) form.

I hope you have all the correct video and sound drivers for your hardware with Vista.
The up-grade is a disaster for most people.
A lot of older hardware will never work properly with Vista.

I'm having exactly the same problem with IL2 1946 running on Windows XP.
I never had this with IL2 FB. Could it be a firewall issue? I don't have anything running apart from the Windows firewall. |
