Runtime Error 429 ActiveX componet can't create object!!!

Hello,

I have been using HL for YEARS. Many times a today. Just a little while ago I tried opening HL and I get the above message... totally out of the blue. It was even working fine earlier today.

I tried a reboot, I tried a reinstall, nothing fixes it.

I am running Windows Vista 32-bit with SP1. This problem just started today and it has totally destroyed my HL capability.
