I am really desperate now about trying HyperLobby to start up. Crying or Very sad It continues to give me runtime 0 or 6 after pressing connect button. It says that it successfully connected to server, or sometimes in rare cases even goes further displaying welcome message and some short stats, but nethertheless, always - BANG and that darned runtime. I tried it already on two PCs, totally three OSes (all of them WinXP pro, fully updated). Reinstalled several times, but nothing is changed.

Please give me hint or advice, share experience : what kind of OS you are using, does it really works on WinXPpro, plz, any hint or idea are welcome.

Thanks a lot in advance.

PS. BTW, is there source code available ? I am programmer, so I could figure out what is the problem. I already srtongly suspect that these runtime errors are due to incorrect variable type using in "if" statement. (byte or integer instead of long), especially blocks related to string operations. Would be a 10min fix. Exclamation

PPS. Is there alternative software or service exists which could allow me to find IL-2 servers around the world ? Please ! After whole weekend spent fighting with HyperLobby I 've lost great deal of hope to fix it at all.
There should be some alternative, isnt it ? Confused

Thanks a lot again..

I currently have Hyper lobby installed on seven different PCs and servers.
Operating systems are as follows.
One machine is a "Multi-boot" rig with four operating systems installed.
Not one machine has had any problems
except the Vista operating systems, they required
Admin rights to install.

Xp pro
Xp64
Server 2003
XP media center edition
Win 2000 pro
Vista Ultimate32
Vista Ultimate 64

I've found few things.

1. After I've changed ControlPanel-RegionalOptions-Advanced-LanguageforNonUnicode to English, everything started to be ok. Windows was English by itslef, but beforetimes exactly that option was set to other language for app compatibility. Little bit annoying unconvinience, but..

2. There is indeed few alternatives exist:
- XFIRE (www-xfire-com)
- il2_conn (just google it)
- GameSpy (havent tested it yet, kinda replacement for All-Seeing Eye)

I am sure there is some others too.
