Last weekend i had entered on HL just once, because everytime this message appear while i was trying to connect. Today, this problem still here, can someone help me please?

I still with that problem guys... I need more some technical information about HL to help the guys of my internet provider to try to solve the problem. Can someone help me?

Ok, here are my informations:

Problem: When i try to connect to the HL server, the following message appear on the program - "Error Socket : 10060 The attempt to connect timed out".
Computer manufacturer: home
CPU: AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz.
RAM: 256 MB DDR-RAM
HDD: 20GB
VGA: GeForce IV Ti4200 64Mb. Palit Daytona
Motherboard: Asus A7S333
OS: Windows XP PRO Portuguese (Brasilian) - Aways updated with Windows Update
Games: IL-2 Forgotten Battles
HL Version: 3.3.55 BETA
Internet Explorer version: 6.0
Internet provider: wireless (radio)
Ethernet Network Adapter: Encore ENL832-TX-VA 10/100M

Last weekend, on sunday, i had no problems to enter on the server. I also had played on-line with no problems and, look's like the problem is happening only in Monday to Saturday. Please, help!!! This never hapenned before...

This may or may not fix the problem in Windows. If it does, please let me know.

(1) (Using Windows 98se) Go to => Start => Settings => Control Panel => Add/Remove Programs => Install/Uninstall tab

(2) Choose/highlight "Microsoft Internet Explorer"

(3) Click on "Add/Remove"

(4) Choose "Repair Internet Explorer", and click on "OK"

I use Windows 98se, and connect to the Internet a dial-up connection with AOL as my ISP. I have been getting Error Socket 10060 messages for over a year. After doing the above, I am now able to connect to HL every time.

Yes please respond back if this fix works for 98 users or NT. It will help other users with the same problem.

I`m working on Windows XP Profesional and i have that problem too. I want to log in ... waiting for the moments and what i see ..... "Error Socket: 10060 The attempt to connect timed out" Sad
What`s that??? One year time ago i was flying on HL.
Pleeaasee heeaallpp mee !!!!
