I don't see ANY current posts to this board. The newest one is eight months old. I was hoping to find out something, but if the place is a graveyard, would it do any good?

Well, here goes anyway.

When I first saw the skins for 1946, I thought they were saved as layers, so opened one up to do some personalization only to find out it was only one layer. Okay, so then I used an editing program to add serial numbers, fuselage codes, and nose art to a template skin. However, when I saved it, the resulting file was much too large. When I dialed the file size back down by tweaking the color palette, I lost a lot of the detail on the skin. The lines got fuzzy and the skin was basically unusable. SO, my question is, what steps do I have to use to personalize a skin without having the huge file size at the end or losing detail and fuzzing it out?

Thanks!
