Hi OMK_Knight,

i checked your hints and everything should be ok. Port 21000 UDP is forwarded to the Internal IP of the Server.
When a clients tries to connect, he gets no Time-out...and no connection.
After disabling the connection, the server-console has the following entry:
Quote:
socket channel NOT created (): <client-ip>:21000

Ethereal shows the following packages coming in on the server (100.0.0.10):

Quote:
29 704.055910 84.44.129.194 100.0.0.10 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
30 704.056901 100.0.0.10 84.44.129.194 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
31 704.086119 100.0.0.10 84.44.129.194 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
32 704.103368 84.44.129.194 100.0.0.10 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
33 704.111441 100.0.0.10 84.44.129.194 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
34 704.138807 100.0.0.10 84.44.129.194 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
35 704.143991 84.44.129.194 100.0.0.10 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
36 704.164225 100.0.0.10 84.44.129.194 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
37 704.196235 84.44.129.194 100.0.0.10 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000
38 704.248319 84.44.129.194 100.0.0.10 UDP Source port: 21000 Destination port: 21000

The client shows the same connections, the server answers, but IL-2 doesn´t connect ...any idea left?

well all i can say is that if i plug the old disk into my server i can join trough HL if i plug the new one i cant, they both win2003 web server and same settings. at least of wut i can tell.

Troll2k you were the one that said that we should be able to join the server we host, i managed to do it in one hard disk by accident and dont know how( I used that disk for 4 month of hosting and i joined everytime i wanted my server trough HL so its possible do do).

If someone has the explanation how to config it would be apreciated.

OK guys, I need LOTS of help. I know nothing of these things. I have managed to get DS up and running in HL and using FBDaemon. People can join the server, and I can ONLY join by IP... Ive read the post , I have all the ports open.. I'm not sure what people mean by internal/external ip... I know I have an IP that comes from modem(external?) and ip from the router, and an ip from server machine..If someone could be so kind as to explain to me what I need to do I would greatly appreciate it..
I have a cheap old router, a Blitz Netwave.

It is possible, worked it out with a firmware upgrade of the router.
