After reinstall on new PC, there is a grey box under Games in Progress.
Using the /b command, there is the same grey box and a white box.
Even though there is no chat line visible, using the /b command brings me back to normal chat mode.
Any ideas on how to fix please?
OS = XP |

Never saw that one before. Did you try to use diff skins? Did it work OK with the previous version of HL? |

Tried all skins that come with the s/w - same or very similar result.
Current version was working fine until I lost my OS HDD and re-installed.
Maybe it's a driver issue - using nvidia and latest drivers.
When I get some time, I'll change the drivers.
I was hoping it was a simple issue - guess not - ok, I'll put up with it FTB.
Thank you ..... |

Setting your windows font size back to 100% may solve this problem (Control Panel\Display) |

I have always been impressed with Jiri and his HL and now I'm REALLY impressed.
When I saw Jiri's suggestion I knew he was right.
I immediately remembered that I'd changed the default DPI setting while trying to fix a different display problem and forgot to reset it. Resetting to default (normal DPI) has fixed that other problem too, by the way.
In the overall scheme of things, this was a very minor annoyance, but it was really annoying - and is now no longer annoying me.
Thank you !
All hail Jiri ! |
