Hyperlobby won't sleep while in-game

Problem:

Using IL2/FB, when I click on "join this session" IL2 will start but the moment I get the connection confirmation in IL2 I can hear the "rumble" of Hyperlobby coming out of sleep. People in the lobby then see me as in the lobby where I am really in a server.

I get pager beeps and some screen corruption from having the HL window restore whilst in game.

I have tried re-installing HL and am using the most current version without success. I have a firewall and anti-virus and the problem is the same with them turned off.

I´ve got exactly the same problem. Since the last version of Hyperlobby, everytime i join a game, I hear Hyperlobby coming up again. And everytime someone sends me a pager message, i hear the sound notification while playing.

I tried everything, uninstalled HL, cleaned the registry, then reinstalled HL, but didnt solve the problem.

Any suggestions to solce the problem will be highly appreciated.

It has been with Version 3.8.80 and the new 3.8.92 Beta.
With earlier Versions everything was ok. I play IL2FB-AEP-PF in mergeed Installation

Any suggestions?

Hi Jiri et al.

I have traced my problem to the use of Radeon Omega video drivers and specifically the Radlinker software that is bundled with it. This software stores profiles for various programs to apply different graphic settings. I think that some combination of this with IL2 and HL is causing HL to "lose track" of whether the IL2FB.exe is still runnning.

I installed the standard ATI drivers again and the problem was resolved.

I use Omega Drivers (no Radlinker profile) long before with no problem in Hyperlobby. I think it started with my installation of PF.... But i´ll try installing the latest Catalysts.

IT WORKS!!!

With the Catalysts installed everything is fine now...so it really was a Problem with the Omega-Drivers.... although i didnt use Radlinker...hmmm.

But anyway, thx for the help. I never would have thpought of this being a driver-issue.

I was a bit perplexed myself when a driver upgrade (from Omega 4.11 to Catalyst 5.2) fixed the problem.

I am running HL now with Radlinker installed no problems. The key is going to IL2FB.exe, right click and select "remove custom settings". You're free to use Radlinker and Omega but you must clear the custom settings for HL to properly sync with IL2FB.

The curious thing about it was that the issue began after i installed PacificFighters. There was no problem at all before that, same drivers, just no PF.

At first i was a bit anxious about installing the Cat 5.2 dirvers, as i noticed a decrease in performance of my 9700 pro when i tried the 4.12. Therefore i sticked to the Omegas based on 4.11. Now with the 5.2 Cats i havent run any tests,but until now i didnt see any noticeable performance drops. I guess, i`ll give the 5.s a try now, if i notice any performance drops, i´ll go back to the Omegas... glad i got a complete backup of my system...hehe
