Thanks for the reply.
What settings do you mean? In Windows my mouse works normally. I also checked hlpro.ini but i couldn't find anything mouse related in it. |

I was thinking your mouse settings in windows control panel. I thought it might be your mouse double click speed might be set to slow or fast. |

Yes, my default browser is Internet Explorer. I checked it from "Program Access and Defaults". Also, if I "run " an URL it opens in IE. |

Yeah it's still not working...
But I'm already used to copy/paste links to the browser, it's easy enough |

I am also having this same problem. I have had this problem since I re-installed Windows XP Home.
I have un-installed HL and that has not fixed the issue. When un-installing HL, i noticed that there was still a record of my login when opening HL again. So i have to believe that even though I un-installed HL there must still be a data file that keeps a record of my HL activity.
Yes, I deleted the HL folder and used system mechanic to remove any registry records. |

Hi,
I'm still having the same problem too.. I started using Firefox recently, it's my default browser now, didn't help with the problem though...
I was wondering, if this could be related to some Win XP background service... I have disabled quite many (otherwise) unnecessary processes to improve performance. |

I dont know. It is possible because I too, have disabled some services.
It will be interesting to see if this works not though. I just installed the WinXP SP2.
It seems to have reset settings so I'm starting fresh.
I'll let you know. |
