What folder does the missions read from?
1c softclub ? of the main game folder..as both have mission folders in them

Browse your documents folder, subfolder "1c softclub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover", open file conf.ini, search section [net] and delete the line "serverName=" |
Still having the problum,
Done all that and I STILL cant even pick one of my own missons to host..
As shown Nothing!!!

Post your full system specs including operating system and installation path for the CoD and Hyperlobby also try to keep the bug here at HL forums and not at 1C Forums, as you will get faster help here.
As far as I can make out you had some problem with installing Hyperlobby so uninstalled it then had a problem hosting a server.
Please answer these questions before doing anything else.
1. You were able to host under Steam before installing/uninstalling Hyperlobby ?
2. What problem was encountered installing HL that made you uninstall it ?
3. Have you completely removed CoD from your hard drive and tried to reinstall it ?

1. No, but when i looked missions were there to pick from.
2. No problem with it. My squad did not want to use it at the moment so i got rid of it
3. Yes and still has no fixed it.. I use steam and I have just wasted bandwidth downloading the game again ( not happy )..I deleted it from steam so I had to D/L from steam..
U can see my sys spec on 1C ,17-930, x58 MB. 6950 2gig G/Card, 6 GB Kingston ram
Win 7 64. bit
Sorry but this is starting to pisss me off.

Ok
I have replicated your problem and its due to
A. corrupted installation of the mission folder/s, please follow the steps below.
B. Access to file (1C softclub) permission in the Win 7 (turn off UAC) and make sure the folders permissions are set to allow under the security tab on the folders properties section (right click the folder properties etc etc)
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-vista/Turn-User-Account-Control-on-or-off
If its not down to B then continue as below.
Delete this folder and contents (if your worried just back it up somewhere else on your hard drive)
A new one will be created when you launch Cliffs of Dover
C:\Users\Name\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover
Make sure you have the following folder structure at these two locations:
Multi
Single
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\missions
campaign
Quick
training
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\parts\bob\mission
If there are any corrupted/missing files they will not be generated correctly in the 1C Soft club folder and you will see the screen you have with no missions avaliable when trying to host.
Here's the folders that's needed, with a read me file, if you want to try to correct the problem, but you may have more missing files that are not so obvious due to a corrupted download/installation.

I am not sure this is the place to ask... however will anything or can anything be done about cheating ? my beef with IL2 is that sometimes it seems some people could always out fly out speed etc... just seemed un realistic... id be full throttle and people would catch me like i was going zero. the would catch me in a dive then climb for the heavens.. i was always just like ... what the heck is going on? |

Are most of the Dedicated Server hosts no longer using the beta? I only see two on hyperlobby now, and yet looking at the "Client" area in game there are many more servers up.
I thought ATAG was still on the HL beta? |

might be an idea to ask admins of servers that you fly in thru connecting via steam if they would be able to host the games from hyperlobby. this would populate Hyperlobby and potentially the games also
was just a thought |

1C Team are working hard to fix the memory leak causing CTD's
Hopefully we will soon see more DF servers and CooP hosts in 2012.

Updated known issues:
Known issues found during open betatest:
* Do not change mission name and description in hosting mode
* Autostart also steam in dedicated server autostart mode
* Game cannot connect the server and timeout (UNCONFIRMED/CLOSED)
* Game cannot detect steam and exit with message "Steam must be running to play IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of dover. Please launch Steam and try again." (UNCONFIRMED/CLOSED)
* Switching Steam cloud storage off user may lost control settings. Solution is backup/restore control settings via the game interface. (GAME FEATURE, NOT HL FAILURE)
I think there is anything more i can do so release will be published soon. |
